HISTORY

526 N Western once operated as The Clinton Theatre, which provided East Los Angeles with foreign films. In the 1960s and 70s, the theatre was known for its classical film program.

The 750-seat theatre was designed by architect Raphael A. Nicolais and operated for over 4 decades, until the 1980s.
